Alice DeBiasio Named Recipient of 2024 Women in Supply Chain Award

Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive named Alice DeBiasio, Vice President & General Manager, Truck Trailer Americas & Digital Solutions, Carrier, as a recipient of the prestigious 2024 Women in Supply Chain award, honoring female leaders whose accomplishments and mentorship help set a foundation for other women in the industry. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

DeBiasio leads more than 700 employees at Carrier Transicold’s manufacturing plant in Athens, Georgia, as well as those working in the field around the world. She was named Vice President & General Manager of Carrier’s Truck Trailer Americas Refrigeration business in January 2023, after joining the company in July 2021 as the Vice President & General Manager of the Sensitech and Digital Solutions businesses, including the Lynx digital ecosystem.

DeBiasio received the 2024 Women in Supply Chain Award in the Workforce Innovator category, which acknowledges outstanding commitment to workforce development and supply chain education. She is recognized for motivating her team to accomplish their goals and overcome challenges, with an emphasis on making the supply chain more resilient and enabling the workforce to be more productive. This approach led the Truck Trailer Americas business to introduce a record number of new products in 2023.

“Our industry is undergoing substantial change, given advances in transport refrigeration unit electrification and telematics,” DeBiasio said. “This award would not be possible without our incredible employees and their efforts to make our supply chain more resilient in the face of incredible transformation. Together, we’ve improved our planning, forecasting and ability to have the right components at the factory at the right time so our qualified and skilled production team can deliver as promised.”

“Every year, this award continues to amaze me. But this year especially, it’s all about the quality of the submissions. These women are doing remarkable things for their communities, organizations and teams and are paving the way for future young female leaders to be a part of an industry that’s making a difference,” said Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Co-Founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum.

DeBiasio started her career in mechanical engineering, first as a design engineer at Northrop Grumman, and then took on business leadership and product development roles at Honeywell and Resideo. She stressed the importance of mentorship and a workplace culture of empowerment.

“I’ve been fortunate to have exceptional mentors who have shown me the immense importance of being technically competent and equally comfortable having conversations that build trust among peers and customers,” DeBiasio said. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a role model for women in the industry.”
