Carrier Transicold and EIGRO Transportkälte GmbH (EIGRO) are celebrating 25 years of service partnership. EIGRO is the longest-standing and largest Carrier service contract partner in Germany and one of the largest Carrier partners in Europe. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), the leading global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.
The full-service specialist based in North Rhine-Westphalia sells, rents, maintains and repairs refrigerated vehicles. EIGRO also provides complete solutions from a single source with high-performance refrigeration units, as well as BluEdge digital services from Carrier Transicold.
"We are proud of our long-standing cooperation with EIGRO and appreciate their partnership over the last 25 years,” said Mortimer von Tschirschky, Managing Director of Carrier Transicold Deutschland GmbH. “We also offer our sincere congratulations on EIGRO's rich company history."
EIGRO, founded in 1997 and based in Rheinbach near Bonn, has two branches in Cologne and Andernach, as well as an independent site in Großbeeren, near Berlin.
"The number of products requiring refrigeration is continuously increasing, and Carrier has had the best solutions for temperature-controlled transports from the very beginning and has been instrumental in our company’s success," said Wilfried Eichen, Managing Director, EIGRO Transportkälte GmbH. "Carrier’s refrigeration units and temperature control technology are among the absolute best in the world. The company's potential for innovation in refrigeration technology combined with our high-quality standards create a unique success story."
The activities of the full-service specialist for temperature-controlled transport equipment focus on the sale of fully equipped single- or multi-compartment vehicles and trailers. EIGRO's customers from the logistics sector operate in sensitive transport areas, such as food, hygiene, chemical or pharmaceutical logistics and receive efficient refrigerated transport and mobile refrigeration technology solutions from a single source.
"We are seeing an increasing shift toward electric mobility among our customers," said Eichen. "Carrier's innovation expertise has positioned us well to respond to the increasing customer requests for electric and semi-electric cooling solutions with state-of-the-art temperature control technology, such as Carrier DataCOLD."
The demand for mono- and multi-temperature systems is balanced at EIGRO, and retrofit solutions for older vehicles are also available. The warehouse for cooling systems and spare parts allows for quick repair, set-up and retrofit solutions. EIGRO is also licensed to issue pharmaceutical certifications for vehicles and trailers.
The performance of hygiene cleaning, maintenance and repair work is possible around the clock at all four EIGRO locations, thanks to the company's 24-hour emergency service. In Germany, EIGRO's mobile service teams are quickly on-site in case of emergencies. Carrier Transicold's service network of more than 600 service stations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East is available for refrigeration systems.
