Carrier at "Rendez-Vous" of Energy Transition and Decarbonization in France
MONTLUEL, France -
At Interclima 2022, Carrier, global leader in the HVAC segment, presents its new-generation heat pumps for the European residential sector and its variable refrigerant flow (VRF) offering for the light commercial sector. These solutions help customers achieve better energy efficiency performance and meet their CO2 emissions reduction objectives. Carrier is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), the leading global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.
In the European Commission's RePower EU action plan, the heat pump segment has high potential for development, both in new construction and in renovation. The RePowerEU plan foresees the installation of ten million heat pumps over the next five years to meet decarbonization objectives.
Carrier is committed to playing a key role in this energy transition, developing innovative products that are better for the planet. Carrier has set an Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) goal to help its customers reduce their carbon footprints by more than one gigaton by 2030. The new heat pumps support this goal, and will play a key role in the roadmap outlined by the European Union with the Green Deal-Fit for 55.
"Carrier has many initiatives supporting carbon footprint reduction. With our new generation heat pumps using R32 and R290 refrigerants, we can substantially reduce the CO2 emissions of our customers and help them face the EU energy transition," said François Audo, VP & GM, Global Comfort Solutions Europe, Carrier.
"France’s demand for heat pumps is expected to grow each year by 15% in the next four years*" said Stephane Koch, Sales Director, Global Comfort Solutions France, Carrier. "We are happy to be back at the 2022 edition of Interclima. Carrier is taking the opportunity to be close to our customers and to present our new generation of more sustainable heat pumps, which are in high demand, and our range of VRFs, XCT7."
Carrier is presenting two new reversible air-to-water heat pumps, highly efficient products that meet environmental objectives designed for residential and light commercial applications.
The 30 AWH-P heat pump offers strong, quiet performance and a compact footprint. Using natural refrigerant with very low global warming potential (GWP), it offers a high-water outlet temperature of up to 75 degrees C, perfectly suited to replacing oil and gas boilers. Near silent (up to 50dB (A) in silent mode), it also has a compact design, making it easy to install in small spaces.
The high-efficiency 30 AWH-R heat pump is equipped with R32 refrigerant and offers a water outlet temperature of 62 degrees C. It is compatible with low and medium temperature emitters (underfloor heating, fan coil units, hydronic cassettes, radiators, mixed installations, etc.) for boiler backup operation. Its plug & play technology provides easy installation.
Carrier also presents a new range of XCT7 VRF and split systems offering flexibility combined with high energy efficiency. The XCT7 systems, designed for the commercial sector, offer optimized performance, high efficiency, a wide operating range, easy installation and incredible flexibility. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see Carrier's split systems ranges, dedicated to the residential sector.
These new solutions demonstrate Carrier’s commitment to invest in accelerating the development of healthy, safe and sustainable solutions, with the aim of creating more energy-efficient products and leading the way in decarbonization for its customers.
With iconic brands in the residential and light commercial space such as Carrier, RIELLO and Toshiba, Carrier’s efficient sales organization in Europe provides solutions to end users along the full product lifecycle.
