Carrier’s New Variable-speed AquaForce^® 30XBV Chiller Delivers Outstanding Value and Optimised Performance

Carrier has introduced a new range of variable-speed screw chillers designed to offer the best-value solution for comfort applications. The AquaForce^® 30XBV chiller delivers optimised part-load performance, reliability, occupant comfort and energy savings in environments up to 55°C. Available in cooling capacities from 500kW to 1800kW, the new air-cooled chiller is equipped with Carrier's Greenspeed^® Intelligence, which provides stepless variable-speed control between 0% and 100%. This enables cooling output to be precisely matched to load, optimising comfort for occupants while minimising energy use and running costs for building owners.

The variable-speed design also ensures low starting current, protecting the building's power supply from the risk of high initial power surges.

All 12 models in the AquaForce 30XBV range are based on high-performance Carrier twin screw compressors connected to independent refrigeration circuits, ensuring resilience and continuity of cooling.

With its quiet operation and reliable performance, the AquaForce 30XBV is ideal for use in premium office buildings, hotels, healthcare facilities, where low life-cycle cost and energy efficiency are key requirements.

Low sound levels are supported by the use of Carrier's latest smooth-running 06Z twin-screw compressor with integrated resonator array, and 6th generation Flying Bird™ fans with enhanced fan blade design, which help reduce compressor and airflow noise down to as low as 96 dB(A).

Heat exchange is optimised by Carrier's high-efficiency, all-aluminium Novation^® microchannel heat exchangers, while Super Enviro-shield™ coatings ensure exposed metal surfaces are protected in sandy, coastal or industrial environments, extending working life.

Chillers are controlled by Carrier's advanced and user-friendly SmartVu™ intelligent control system, which displays operating parameters in real time via a 7inch colour touchscreen.

To further optimise energy savings and performance, 30XBV can be monitored and diagnosed remotely by Carrier experts as part of a BluEdge service contract.
