Carrier Hosts Designer Day for Building Consultants
HELSINKI, Finland -
Carrier recently held a special Designer Day for building consultants from architecture, engineering and construction companies in Finland at the Sokos Hotel Tripla in Helsinki. Carrier is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
The ‘Suunnittelijapäivä’ or Designer Day provided attendees with valuable information about how to integrate HVAC systems in the initial stages of building design as well as important industry updates. Carrier outlined the importance of incorporating heating and ventilation into a building’s design to maximise efficiency, increase air quality and improve the end-users' experience.
With the rapidly developing data centre landscape in Helsinki, Carrier highlighted its range of smart and connected solutions to cool, monitor, maintain, analyse and protect facilities to meet green building standards, sustainability goals and comply with local greenhouse gas emission regulations. Carrier’s efficient and high-performing HVAC equipment optimised for data centres include the new AquaForce® 30XFZ air-cooled screw chiller with hydronic free cooling and the AquaForce 61XWHZE water-sourced heat pump which facilitates decarbonisation through integrated and smart heat reuse.
"Events like our Designer Day are extremely useful for fostering collaborative working relationships between consultants and manufacturers," said Tim Ashton, Business Development Director, Nordics, Carrier. "Carrier’s lifecycle solutions are integrated across our portfolio to help data centre operators use less power and improve operating costs and profitability."
Solutions designed for hotels and hospitality venues were presented including Carrier's next-generation IdroFan® 36XH hydronic hybrid terminal, which addresses the unique requirements of intermittent occupancy for hotels, restaurants and bars, and the challenges for effective air conditioning and ventilation.
To keep HVAC systems at peak performance and longevity, service and aftermarket solutions were addressed. Digital offerings like Carrier’s BluEdge™ platform provide visibility, access to expert advice and effectively optimize the lifecycle outcomes of HVAC systems.
"Our Designer Day was a wonderful opportunity to connect with key consultants and representatives from Finnish construction planning and consulting companies." said Timo Ahvenainen, Product Manager, Nordics, Carrier. "The need to discuss important topics and regulations, such as F-Gas and the future of refrigerants, was one of main takeaways from the event. We look forward to continuing conversations and hosting another event in the autumn with the same goal."
