Carrier’s WeatherMaster® rooftops (RTU) with Puron Advance™ (R-454B) and EcoBlue™ Fan Technology, offer an environmentally sustainable solution for a brighter future. With a GWP of 466 and similar performance to R-410A, Puron Advance easily exceeds the EPA's new, stringent, <700 GWP refrigerant requirement. Our direct drive EcoBlue™ indoor fan system uses a Vane Axial fan and electronically commutated motor. The benefit is clear: when compared to legacy belt drive systems, this Vane Axial design has 75% fewer moving parts, uses up to 40% less energy, and has no belts, blower bearings, or shaft. Our WeatherMaster® 48QE rooftop units offer a heat pump compression system with auxiliary gas heaters. All units come standard with stainless steel gas heat exchangers and SystemVu™ controls. Units can operate as a heatpump, hybrid heat unit (gas and heatpump simultaneously) or as a gas heat unit when ambient temperatures dip below the low ambient cutoff. 48QE models offer flexible operation for occupant comfort in any climate!
