Carrier V series Applied Rooftop products are pre-wired and charged with Puron Advance™ (R-454B) low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant and tested in both cooling and heating modes at the factory. The V series distinguishes itself through its versatile capability to seamlessly integrate with both legacy curbs and select competitor models in replacement or retrofit applications. This flexibility is enabled by the V series comprehensive range of standard and compact chassis options. The standard chassis is designed to fit on legacy Carrier 48/50P and 48/50Z curbs with minimal changes, while the compact chassis will fit select competitor curbs.
The V series is available in 27.5 – 100 ton nominal cooling capacity and features a direct drive indoor fan array with electronically commutated motors (ECM). The Carrier SmartVu™ control includes a 7-inch touchscreen display with easy to navigate user interface for easy setup and configuration. SmartVu™ can operate stand-alone, with a thermostat, with Carrier i-Vu® 8.0 web-based interfaces, or with other BACnet building automation systems (BAS). A variety of factory installed options are available, including modulating gas heat with turndown of up to 7:1, ultra-low leak economizer, and modulating Humidi-MiZer® dehumidification. Furthermore, V-series offer selectable configurations for staged air volume (SAV) in single-zone applications, as well as variable air volume (VAV) options suitable for both single-zone VAV (SZ-VAV) and supply duct pressure control in multi-zone variable air volume (MZ-VAV) applications. These configurations are field selectable for added flexibility.
Overall, the Carrier V series rooftop unit is designed to provide customers with a flexible, efficient, and reliable solution for their air conditioning and indoor air quality needs, while also offering easy installation and compatibility with existing curbs.
