EverFRESH® with Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Injection Option
Our most innovative controlled atmosphere technology.
- Better preserve, protect and extend the shelf life of low-respiring, high-value perishable cargo such as blueberries, grapes, papayas
- The CO2 injection option extends the range of perishable commodities even further
- Enable longer voyages and transit life for fresh products
- Less susceptible to box leakage through positive pressurization
- Maintains atmosphere at precise setpoints for different applications
EverFRESH® A proven way to take your cargo further.
EverFRESH® with Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Injection Option includes software, a control valve and injection ports that enable connection to an auxiliary CO2 supply. One port is located on the front of the refrigeration unit and enables the CO2 supply to be located externally on the container. The second port is rear-facing and enables a 22-pound CO2 tank to be stored within a locker, which is located on the back side of the refrigeration unit and can be accessed from within the container.
Once a container is loaded and sealed, it can be pre-charged to the desired level of CO2. For example, a pre-charge of 15% CO2 may be preferred for cherries or blueberries, versus 8% for papayas. During transit the auxiliary CO2 supply automatically adds CO2 as needed to maintain the programmed level throughout the voyage.
Key features include:
- Air Compressor - Provides compressed air to the N2 membrane. Air is conditioned through a series of filters, water separator and coalescing loop.
- Nitrogen Separator - Receives dry/clean air from system. Air passes through hollow fiber module, which separates O2 and N2 – actively delivering N2 into container.
- Control software for the Micro-Link® 5 (ML5). Operator input via the ML5 controller determines the amount of O2 (1–17%) and CO2 (1–19%) to be maintained. Higher levels are possible with the additional CO2 charging.
- Sensors for monitoring O2 and CO2
- Allows for pre-charging of the refrigerated container to the desired level of CO2
Setpoint ranges for O2 and CO2
Setpoint | Range |
---|---|
Oxygen (O2) | 1%–17% |
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) | 1%–19% |
