Kawczyński Logistics Takes Delivery of 50 New Vector HE 17 Systems from Carrier Transicold

Kawczyński Logistics has taken delivery of 50 new trailers equipped with Carrier Transicold Vector® HE 17 units to enhance its European food and pharmaceutical delivery operations. The latest addition to Carrier Transicold’s High Efficiency (HE) range, the Vector HE 17 was selected by Kawczyński Logistics for its powerful refrigeration performance, improved fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. The new Vector HE 17 units mounted to 13.6-metre trailers represent a period of significant expansion for Kawczyński Logistics and are the latest additions to its 320-strong trailer fleet, which is predominantly Carrier Transicold-cooled. Joining its intermodal logistics network, the new units will be in operation daily throughout Europe, from as far south as Greece, Spain and across the continent to the U.K.

With a cooling capacity output above 16 kW and potential fuel savings of as much as 30%, when compared to the legacy Vector 1550, the Vector HE 17 provides operators with a powerful refrigeration solution, that at just 720kg ranks among the lightest units in its category. 

Like Carrier Transicold’s flagship Vector HE 19, the new Vector HE 17 also features a hermetically sealed compressor and economiser to maximise efficiency and reduce the risk of refrigerant leaks. The unit’s improved fuel economy derives in part from its innovative inverter technology, which constantly adapts the compressor speed to match cooling demand on the go. 

The latest version of Carrier Transicold’s E-Drive technology – which marked its 25th anniversary this year – also remains integral to the unit’s design. Converting power from the engine to generate electricity to run the refrigeration unit, E-Drive removes the need for the inefficient mechanical transmissions seen in traditional belt-driven systems.

Headquartered in Ślesin near Bydgoszcz, Kawczyński Logistics operates 290 tractor units alongside its expanding trailer fleet.
