Lukewarm rating for Aelott Air Conditioning
During the past two years, we used Aelott Air Conditioning for service on our vintage (circa 1984) Carrier heater and air conditioning units. The service each time was nothing short of outstanding. When it came time to select an HVAC contractor to replace our old units, the "no\-brainer" choice was Aelott Air Conditioning. Right from the start, our experience on the "sales" side of the business was vastly different from our experience with the "service" side. We had to call the office three times to get a bid and proposal for the replacement units, ditto for scheduling the installation, and seeming indifference to a problem with an air leak we found in the air conditioning coil enclosure after the new unit was installed. To top things off, the installers of the replacement units noted the ducts in our attic were badly deteriorated and needed to be replaced despite being told by the company owner they were okay when he came out to bid the job the first time. After numerous calls/emails to the office to obtain a bid for the replacement ducting and installation, we simply gave up and selected another HVAC contractor to do that work. In closing, we were dismayed that Aelott did not provide us with (1) information on how to register our new equipment, (2) a written statement concerning warranties on the equipment and installation, and (3) owners manuals (or websites for downloading them) for the equipment we purchased. For these reasons we give Aelott Air Conditioning 3 stars, strongly recommending improvement in contacting and following through with customers.
