AC unit that malfunctiuoned in 1 month
we have always used DGMeyers for trouble shooting our old units so when it came to installing 2 new units we choose then without hesitation. Steve our salesperson was great answering questions and communication with phone and email. However one of our units malfunctioned less than a month in use. DG Meyers came out to service the unit and we were told a part had failed and needed to be replaced. I don't know much about AC units but it doesn't sound good when it breaks down the first month. Emails and questions to Steve went unanswered. He forwarded my emails to the service manager and refused to take my calls. This is where I have a problem because now I think he knew the unit was a 'lemon' otherwise why would it breakdown so quickly. I wanted the unit replaced but am unable to talk to anyone in a position to authorize this. Also to service the unit the technician had to cut the Freon line going to the unit just to access the unit and then re solder it. I'm wondering if this normal installation practice? But since I'm not able to talk to the salesperson who knows these things I wouldn't know if this is common practice. yes i believe we were sold a bad unit and it should be replaced. I think Steve knows this otherwise he wouldn't be dodging my calls.

3.5 Ton AC Replacement.
Our AC was 14 years old and broke down on a Friday. I called Chris at D.G. Meyer and he immediately sent a repairman out to see if temporary repairs could be made. As it turned out, the unit needed to be replaced as it was old and still operated on R\-22 Freon. Chris handled everything in a very timely manner and the crew was actually a little early when they showed up to replace my AC Unit\-\-very unusual in this day and age. The crew did an excellent job, had us up and running in no time, and Chris then came out and checked the install to make sure everything was OK and that I was Satisfied\-\- Which I was\- Very satisfied. Replacing an existing unit
I was told about 6 months ago that I would need a new AC unit but, like a few people I'm sure, I put it off. Because let's face it, I could think of 1000 other things to spend that money on but, living in Florida, AC is a MUST !! I was put in contact with Chris Meyer, who was very courteous and polite. He answered all of my questions without stepping foot onto my property. He worked with me the best that he could over the phone and beat the other quote that I had received(from my old AC company) by about $4700, and that's even including everything the other AC company was going to do. I was told that the technicians would be at my house between 8\-9 am and they showed up at 8:45. They quickly got to work, after rearranging the vehicles, and within 5 hours, my new AC unit was installed. The technician went over the new unit with me, explaining the reason why he rotated my unit\-filter changing\-the UV light\-very knowledgeable about the product. Needless to say, I am very pleased(thus far) with the quality of service that I have received from Chris and the whole D.G. Meyers company. I will definitely recommend them and their product to anyone looking for AC work.
