The same tech came back on Friday and realized the board had been put in place either backwards or upside down. Once he put it in correctly it worked fine. I have been singing praises of my new equipment since the day it was installed. MY OLD EQUIPMENT: I wanted something that was quiet because the old furnace used to wake me up every time it came on. Because of the size of the bedroom, the air/heat distribution was uneven \-\- never felt the heat in the winter or the air in the summer. Rather than feel the sudden blasts of cold air when the unit came on and off, I turned it off. MY NEW EQUIPMENT: The equipment, inside and outside, is soooooo quiet, it's like a whisper. It's nice to be able to sleep through the night finally without hearing the roar of the furnace over my head. I have known about Carrier for quite a while \- The company I had been using to service my old system, discovered a defective compressor \- Along with the fact that system carried the old R22, which is now obsolete, and the compressor for that unit was no longer being made; So, I did much research trying to find a " Trustworthy Heating \& Air Company" since that current company I was using, was entirely TOO PRICEY!!! Quoting $6,000.00 above what I paid for this new heat pump system \- SO, after much research, and after contacting Central Heating \& Air, \& speaking with their sales rep, I was referred to a company located in my area \- Estes Heating \& Air installed my split system \- and did a great job \- I went from a 14 seer to a 16 seer system \- with that said, I'm not sure if that may have anything to do with the fact that when it's been running for a while, the system in the attic is quite noisy (loud hum )\- I'm told it's the part that carries the freon from the outside unit to the upstairs(attic) split unit vibrates slightly \- causing it to make this noise \- Other than that, it's been less than a month that this was installed \- The fact that it does carry a 10 yr. parts \& labor warranty, however, can give one peace of mind \- I'm still wondering HOW I'm going to pay for this thing, especially where I am financially and it's just ME, who's NOT working \- Outside of that, I think I made the correct choice by going with Carrier \& having Estes Heating \& Air install \& now service this unit \-

I have used Estes for my yearly tune\-ups and for th emost part, they were reliable. This is a new installation on the heating and air but I had to get them back out the day after install. Not sure about how they will honor or resepond if I run into problems. Since I am not a pro at HVAC nor have I had to ever replace a system, this is all new to me but when I asked for assitance to get a new intake cover no extra help. When I pointed out the old worn insulation that is connected to the new heating system, they did not offer to go that extra mile and replace it. It is not duct but you would think that since I am buying a $6,000.00 system, what would literally be the cost for them? All of this makes me a little worried.

I hired Estes to install HVAC system in a rental property. They did not complete installation in one day as promised and did not even bother to let me know the job was not completed. I just happened to find out because they called me by mistake when they were trying to reach the tenant to get access to the property. Within a week, the unit stopped working properly because of a faulty thermostat that they knew had issues but installed anyway. Then the next week, the drain line was clogged, causing water to fill the drip pan. New drain lines were supposed to be installed but obviously were not. This has been the worst $6000 I have ever spent and they treat customers like they are stupid and are also not nice. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone.

It's not like you get many choices, since in modern times there is an expectation that you must have an HVAC system. I will also note that my opinion is also predicated on the fact that I moved into this house in April 2017 after alleged thorough inspections, so it was not all that pleasant of an idea to come to understand that a new HVAC system was needed. I was familiar with the company from a previous experience, and in general have been satisfied with what service I get from the individuals that come out and do the work. Yet, objectively I can't be overall completely and thoroughly satisfied because of some technical issues that got in the way. First off, the system was not installed when it was supposed to be installed. Yes, a couple of inches of snow happened to come the night before, but the facts remain that the morning of the install I got a message that they were arriving late, only to be followed up with a cancellation the hour later. The day of the actual install, the guys working on it (who worked continuously all day long) came across a problem related to a part in the system that wasn't working. Again, not the company's fault, but it seems that when you're paying for the top of the line system, this shouldn't be an expected issue. And then, had to call the company out a couple days later for a faulty system that apparently is related to wiring. It was explained that the instructions for installation are not compatible with the reality of how the system needs to be wired. So, all in all, the technicians were capable and friendly and got the job done, but the entire experience was not all that gratifying. I would certainly recommend Estes \- I have been very satisfied with the service that they provide. I think we were just victims of the circumstances.

Crew that installed the 2 outdoor air conditioning units did not caulk all the openings in the furnace cabinets or around the air handler and coil. Both units were leaking air profusely. I taped them up. The lead installer also told me that I would not be able to use the fan with the system because with the thermostat provided, the fan cannot run unless the system are heating or cooling. The Instalation Manager came out and fixed the units so the fan works and caulked around the furnace and air handlers. I asked him if he would give me 1 additional year of free labor to make it right and he said he would get back to me after he talked to his management. It has been almost 2 months and no one ever got back to me with an answer one way or the other. I thought my request was reasonable since Estes admitted that the installation was below their standards.

I also want to mention by name Latorria who helped arrange financing and make sure I have all the names above correct. Smooth operation, Estes. Estes I installed a new replacement furnace. Technicians arrived on time and completed the task in a timely manner, although it required the removal of my hot water heater to gain access. Overall, they did a great job, but I wish I would have known that there would be a lot of dust and debris falling out of the vents, because I would have cleared the areas under my vents. They cleaned up most, but there were several items I would have rather just move out of the way, so they wouldn't have to be cleaned individually of the dusty residue.
