Replacement just in time
I have a service contract with Roscoe Brown. During the fall inspection, Nov 22, the tech found the heat exchanger in our 15 year old Carrier had several holes in it. because of the warm fall here in Tennessee we had not run the heat very much. I told the tech that I needed a quote on a similar unit. That afternoon, I received a quote which I felt was a good value for the product and service. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and work load, the unit was installed on Nov 28. Without the service contract, I probably wouldn't have discovered the problem until the carbon monoxide detector had alarmed.
