Transports Dauphin Optimizes Refrigerated Transport Operations with Carrier Transicold’s Vector HE 17

Transports Dauphin has been running two Vector® HE 17 next-generation refrigeration units from Carrier Transicold in its fleet since January 2024. This innovative solution has enabled fuel consumption savings for the Marne-based company and improved the efficiency and reliability of its refrigerated transport service. The Vector HE 17's all-electric E-Drive technology and variable compressor speed system has enabled Transports Dauphin to reduce fuel consumption by 25%, compared to the Vector 1550. This reduction is in line with the company's environmentally responsible policy aimed at improving the fleet's performance. At the same time, the refrigeration power of the Vector HE 17 guarantees precise temperature control throughout the journey, ensuring the freshness of the food products transported – ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables to frozen foods – for deliveries throughout the Grand Est region, from Champagne to Yonne, as well as in the Paris area and as far as the Northern region of France. 

In addition to the practical benefits, Carrier Transicold's Lynx Fleet telematics solution has improved the overall management of the company's semi-trailer fleet. 

"Lynx Fleet allows us to track each semi-trailer in real time, as if we were onboard," said Dauphin.  

Thanks to Lynx Fleet, the company can track the location of its vehicles, continuously monitor temperatures and receive alerts in the event of anomalies, thereby improving responsiveness and service quality. This increased visibility of the operations reinforces customer confidence by guaranteeing transparent delivery tracking. 

In addition to the two Vector HE 17 units, Transports Dauphin has also secured a BluEdge service contract, which supplements the original factory warranty on refrigeration units, providing customers with peace of mind with uninterrupted coverage.
