The Easiest-Ever Control for Cooling, Heating & More
The Aspen APU’s driver interface has been completely redesigned to make temperature control as effortless as a home thermostat. The single control knob glows red when in Heat Mode, blue in Cool Mode and green in Comfort Monitor Mode. Drivers dial up the precise cab temperature they want, and the system does the rest. Easily toggle between various operating modes: Battery Monitor to keep the engine and APU batteries topped off; Winter Watch for automatic engine pre-heating; and Manual Mode that enables cab-specific programming.
Choose the Aspen Model That's Right for Your Fleet
Carrier Transicold offers three primary configurations and numerous customization options to fulfill various anti-idling needs:
- Integrated (Aspen-INT): In this fully featured system, coolant lines connect the APU to the tractor engine cooling system, with engine warming provided via APU coolant exchange.
- Stand-Alone (Aspen-STA): This unit provides similar capabilities to the integrated model, but tractor and APU coolant systems are independent. Tractor engine warming can be optionally done via the tractor’s block heater, powered by the Aspen APU’s generator, or with an engine coolant heater.
- Power-Only (Aspen-PWR): Provides power for hotel loads and more in applications where no cab climate control is needed.
