Carrier Transicold Unveils Two New Supra® Undermount Refrigeration Units

Carrier Transicold has launched two new undermount refrigeration units for trucks, the Supra® 900U and Supra® 1100U, featuring new designs with improved performance and energy efficiency. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), fire-protection, security and building automation technologies. 

These two new undermounted refrigeration units replace the Supra® 850U and Supra® 950U units and offer end users a wider choice for upgrading equipment. The new units have significant energy efficiency improvements and when compared to the previous versions independent laboratory testing has shown a 15% energy efficiency improvement for the Supra 1100U unit and a 21% improvement for the Supra 900U unit, which also has a cooling capacity increase of 30% as a result of an advancement to the evaporator. 

A new evaporator has been installed for a more modern look, using a unique and fully recyclable material. Additionally, the new designs and connector wires make it easier for bodywork technicians to install the units on trucks and maintenance to be performed. “With our easy to connect system, an installation technician can assemble the units in 15 minutes compared with 45 minutes previously, with improved ergonomics and greater simplicity of installation,” said Gaël Ducher, product manager, EMEAR Truck, Engineless & Special Applications, Carrier Transicold Europe. “We are pleased these new models provide customers with improved quality, a new evaporator design, and significant energy efficiency improvements.”
