The Consumer Choice Warranty offers two warranty options upon timely registration:
- Ten-year parts-only limited warranty1
- Five-year parts limited warranty plus a three-year labor warranty on eligible equipment1
Because you make the decision, this program gives you confidence that your comfort is covered in a way that makes sense for you.
Once your system is installed, you have 90 days to register the equipment and choose the warranty option that gives you the most peace of mind – longer overall time period or added labor coverage.

Consumer Choice Eligible Applications
- Only residential applications will be eligible for the Consumer Choice warranty.
- New residential construction installations are not eligible for the Consumer Choice warranty
Consumer Choice Warranty Selection
- The desired Consumer Choice warranty option on eligible models is selected at time of product registration.
- The Consumer Choice warranty option selected will apply to all eligible products being registered together. If different Consumer Choice options are desired on eligible products purchased together, they must be registered separately.
- The Consumer Choice warranty options will only be available for the first 90 days after installation. If registered after 90 days, the standard 5-year parts warranty will apply with no labor coverage.1
- After registering equipment, the Consumer Choice warranty option selected can be changed within the first 90 days only.
- A confirmation of your warranty selection coverage will be emailed to the email address provided during your production registration. No registration confirmation is sent out via USPS mail if an email address is not provided.
1Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts + 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts + 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
