Enhance your indoor air quality with UV lights for cooling coils
Improve your home's air and the efficiency of your HVAC system with our powerful ultraviolet (UV) lights. These UV lights are designed to target select reduce mold (penicilium citrinum and aspergillus niger)¹ and bacteria that can grow on the surface of your HVAC system’s indoor cooling coil, helping prevent them from recirculating into your home's air. By addressing growth on the coil, UV lights can support better indoor air quality and maintain an energy-efficient system performance. Explore our single bulb and double bulb UV lamp options to find the right UV light for your home.
Carrier UV Lights
What to Look for in an HVAC UV Light
Our Performance UV light systems are designed for quiet and energy-efficient HVAC operation. They work continuously to keep your indoor coil clean, which helps your HVAC system run more efficiently and can potentially lead to energy savings on your heating and cooling bills.
NOTES:
1 When positioned to represent the maximum distance above the bottom of a Carrier cooling coil, in laboratory testing, the UV lamp solution demonstrated reductions of molds penicilium citrinum and aspergillus niger on an aluminum surface in just 4 hours of 99.99% and 99.9% respectively. Similarly in the laboratory, bacteria testing was completed on staphylococcus epidermidis and escherichia coli with reductions of 99.9999% and 99.9% respectively. These tests were conducted at an independent laboratory according to ASTM E3135-18 Standard Practice for Determining Antimicrobial Efficacy of Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation Against Microorganisms on Carriers with Simulated Soil.
